Local Library Heart Decorating Challenge
Hello again. Hope your weekend has gotten off to a good start. Today's project is a decorative heart that my granddaughter Brooke did for our local library contest. Nana turned her loose in her craft room and this is what she came up with. The library handed out red construction paper hearts for the kids to decorate. This heart was about a 8 1/4” tall by 10 1/2” wide. Brooke used American Crafts premium ribbon in the red rose and the pink peony. She alternated the ribbons to give the heart red and pink strips. Brooke asked me to cut out the heart banner and the love title from the circut cartridge Love Struck 2010. The heart banner was cut on colorbok white cardstock at 5”. The Love title was cut on black colorbok cardstock at 1 1/2”. To add a little more bling Brooke use Studio G red and clear gems that was gotten at our local Wal-Mart. To finish the project off Brooke asked me to spray it with some Perfect Pearls Mists from Ranger. I really enjoyed spending this time with my grand-daughter doing something we both love to do. Brooke was very happy and proud to be her Nana’s first guest designer. Hope you enjoy. Thanks for stopping by please leave a comment and let us know what you think.
